Tour following in the footsteps of Orthodox Christians (meeting point: Handel monument on the marketplace)

As early as the early modern period, the university and August Hermann Francke's institutions attracted people from all over the world to Halle an der Saale. The historical tour with Daniel Haas invites you to literally trace the presence of Orthodox Christians in Halle in the 18th century.
The free tour starts at 4:30 pm at the Handel monument on the market square. Together we will walk along Große Märkerstraße to Jerusalemer Platz and Großes Berlin and on to the Lindenhof of the Francke Foundations. The tour lasts about an hour.
Afterwards, at 6 p.m., there will be a lecture in the Neubauer Hall of the Francke Foundations (House 52) on the topic: »August Hermann Francke and the Armenians – Ecumenical Encounters around 1700«.
