Pupil's Summer School

Research, free time and new friends - that's how the Pupils' Summer Academy can be described! For one week, up to 15 young people from Saxony-Anhalt live and do research at the Francke Foundations. In small groups, they develop and work on their own questions on an overarching historical theme. They research sources in the archives or the library, interview experts from the foundation cosmos and present their results in a final presentation. The Young Scientists' Forum supports them in their work with a team of expert advisors. For the rest of the day, two pedagogical supervisors are the contact persons for the young people. In the afternoon, for example, they go to the swimming pool, in the evening to the cinema.

The Summer Academy for Pupils is organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Saxony-Anhalt. The summer academies are an extracurricular form of state-wide support for gifted pupils in Saxony-Anhalt.
