Programme for Education-Museum and Collections

In the morning, school classes are invited to discover the exhibitions in the Francke Foundations.

Groups are subject to appropriate prices:

15 Euro (up to max. 15 students, accompanying persons free)

30 Euro (up to max. 30 students, accompanying persons free)

Regulation of fees

In addition to the user regulations of 01.10.2019 the following fee regulations will be issued:

1. Principles

1.1
The following fees will be raised for services provided by the August Hermann Francke Study Centre, the Exhibition Office and the Public Relations Office.
1.2
All users of the services provided by the institutions mentioned above in 1.1 must pay fees.
1.3
The fees for rendering a service are due not later than four weeks after receiving the invoice, without deductions.
1.4
Upon request, the user will receive an estimate as to the costs associated with the intended service.
1.5
The rendering of services may be subject to the prior payment of the fee.
1.6
The fees are also payable if the user has not benefited from the ordered services or if the research has not led to the desired result.
1.7
Should any service not fall under this Regulation, cost-covering charges will be invoiced.

2. Information and Reproductions

2.1
Written specialist information and searches up to a processing period of 30 minutes are free of charge; next they will be charged: € 10,00 per 30 minutes.
2.2
Reproductions
A written form must be submitted for reproductions to be provided by the Study Centre. A photo order form is available in the Reading Room or on the homepage of the Francke Foundations.

3. Publication of reproductions

The publication of reproductions requires the prior written approval by the institutions of the Francke Foundations as listed in section 1.1. The fees amount to:

Single rendition / publication in printed media, movies, TV shows, online resources, exhibitions, advertising, presentations per reproduction unit
as to commercial purposes from 100.00 €
as to scientific and popular scientific purposes € 30.00
as to exhibition purposes € 30.00
3.2
New editions, reprints, translations, licensed editions, with frequent broadcasting or exploitation in online offerings
50% of the respective fee
3.3
If additional copyrights as to reproductions occur, the user must acquire the publication permission from the copyright holder. Accruing costs are to be refunded separately to the copyright holder.

4. Reimbursement of expenses

4.1
If the Francke Foundations faces expenses when carrying out a commissioned service, the debtor has to refund these costs. Especially postage and other costs as to the dispatching (e.g., packaging, insurance) are collected as expenses.
4.2
In the case of money transfers in a foreign currency the debtor must transfer the incurred banking fees.

5. Lending of objects

5.1
Rental fee per item: € 30.00

6. Photography and filming on and in the premises of the Francke Foundations

6.1
As to photographs or video films serving non-private purposes, the prior approval of the Public Relations Office of the Francke Foundations is required.
6.2
As to non-private photographs or video films on the premises, from the balcony of the Historic Orphanage, in the Cabinet of Art and Natural History, or the Scenery Library and in all other properties of the Francke Foundations the fees are as follows:
   as to commercial purposes from                  from 100,00 €
   as to scientific and popular purposes           30,00 €
   as to exhibition purposes                             30,00 €

7.Special fees

7.1
In the case of damage and/or the destruction of furnishings the accruing repair and replacement costs will be invoiced to the causer.
7.2
In the case of the loss of a locker key all costs incurred as to the opening, the purchase and the installation of a new lock including keys will be invoiced.
7.3
In the case of damage and/or the destruction of Library and Archive material as well as objects in the exhibition area, the restoration or replacement costs will be invoiced to the causer.
7.4
An extra administration fee of € 30 will be charged as to all offenses listed under 7.1 to 7.3.

8. Exemption of fees

8.1
In individual cases collecting a fee upon request can be waived based on reasons of equity, or the fee can be reduced. A claim as to fee waiver or a reduction does not exist.
8.2.
The exemption of fees does not remove the obligation of refunding due expenses.

9. Entry into effect

The Regulation of Fees (Gebührenordnung) enters into effect on 1 March 2020.
