TiQital ito the future

Are you 12-18 years old and want to help shape the digital world on your smartphone or tablet?  Come and join us!

You can produce your own rap songs, podcasts and radio plays in the recording studio at the TiQ youth club. In workshops, we learn the most important tips and tricks. Our technical equipment includes microphones, a mixing desk, effects devices and also equipment for performances outside the Francke Foundations. In addition to the sound studio, we also offer a media workshop which, together with the children's creative centre Krokoseum, creates content for a digital scavenger hunt, for example. Here, the history of the Francke Foundations is discovered in a playful way and presented in the form of media. Digital cameras, lighting equipment, audio recording devices and mobile terminals were purchased for this purpose.

The project is being implemented as part of the Kultur.Gemeinschaften programme in open children's and youth work at the TiQ youth club in order to specifically strengthen digital cultural education. In the target group of 12 to 18-year-olds, it is a major task to teach the conscious use of applications on smartphones and tablets. The young people should have the opportunity to produce their own content with professional technology. Care was taken to create offers with low-threshold access. In this digital playground, the children and young people can also take their first steps in virtual reality, accompanied by experts and educators.
