Men often take center stage in the history of foundations, but women also shaped Pietist life from the very beginning. They made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Glaucha institutions—organizational, political, financial, and social. The education of girls was a particular concern of Francke's. The tour highlights the everyday lives and work of important women, including writers, patrons, and teachers, who had a lasting influence on life in the foundations.
An event organised by the Francke Foundations in collaboration with the Handel Festival Halle.
