Our practical workshop on pruning young fruit trees invites gardening novices, orchard enthusiasts, professionals and anyone else who is interested to give young fruit trees the best possible start in life with pruning shears, a delicate touch and a keen eye for the tree.
Combining theory and practice, we teach the basics of growth patterns and important tree pruning techniques such as cutting, diverting and bud breaking, before going through the process of pruning young trees step by step. What you learn is then applied directly to the tree and discussed together. The focus is on training young fruit trees using the Oeschberg method – for stable, healthy and productive trees.
