The Linden Blossom Festival organised by the Francke Foundations is one of Halle's most beautiful attractions. Every two years, it transports visitors to the baroque market bustle of the lovingly decorated foundation alleys with showmen, musicians and artists. In keeping with this year's theme, everything revolves around orientation, which shapes our lives in both small and large ways. Maps, compasses, city maps, labyrinths, lighthouses, calendars and even models of the sky and the world form the framework for up to 80 themed interactive activities in which surprising paths can be taken, new turns tried out and orientation consciously experienced: geographically, temporally, sensually and very personally. Which way do I go? Who am I and where do I want to go? We invite you to play with your perceptions in a variety of ways – a lime blossom festival where getting lost is expressly encouraged.
The historic market and interactive activities are open on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with music and theatre creating an atmospheric ambience on two stages.
On Saturday from 7 p.m. onwards, we also offer an impressive evening programme with music, artistry and a light show. A wide range of culinary delights will be available around the main stage until late in the evening.
All exhibitions at the Francke Foundations are also open free of charge on these days.
