Bible Tuesday

Bible Tuesdays are open to anyone interested in the Bible.

No prior knowledge is necessary. Curiosity and interest in the Book of Books are sufficient – along with the joy of discovering and discussing stories and texts from ancient times and their relevance today in a small and open-minded group. It is always amazing how words from ancient times speak directly to our time with their wisdom!

The topics of the evenings are based on the theme of the year, which this year raises the question of order. The Bible tells of the order of creation, but in its use of numbers it also conceals its own unique system of order, which has already influenced Jewish and Christian Kabbalah.
The theme of order has inspired us to explore the meaning of numbers in the Bible. They are usually overlooked, although they often have symbolic meaning: one God, two tablets of the covenant, the Trinity, four cardinal directions, five books of Moses, six days of creation, the sanctification of the seventh day, etc.
