Ever since the spring of 2012, the historic buildings in the entrance zone of the Francke Foundations shine with a renewed brilliance. The two buildings which originally served as guest houses are the oldest buildings owned by the Foundations.
The Nudelmanufaktur Tranquebar takes up this original function of the building and offers guests and visitors of the Foundations an attractive assortment of food as well as a place to relax. According to the concept of the “fast casual food kitchen,” homemade pasta, local fruits and vegetables as well as meat and fish produced in a sustainable and ecological manner are served. The menu is enhanced by sandwiches and fresh salads as well as small desserts. All meals and drinks can be enjoyed in the historic atmosphere daily between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., or be ordered as a take-away.
