"Taste is a matter of debate"

Cooking series on the annual theme "Quarrelsome" for gourmets, omnivores and the whole family

[Translate to Englisch:] verschiedene Gemüsesorten

Our tastes are varied and continue to evolve throughout our lives. Those who didn't like broccoli at the age of seven may have a new perception of taste at the age of fourteen and add it to their own menu. Some finally want to eat less or no meat at all, others do without animal products altogether. Still others find it natural to serve up an enjoyable nut roast with dumplings and red cabbage on the Christmas table, while others love to embark on a culinary world tour.

In this series, we invite a wide variety of cooking guests who will cook together with the children and families, share their culinary preferences and are also willing to argue about their and others' tastes. But the focus is also on getting to know new and old things and spending a tasty time in the kitchen of the Krokoseum.

"regional meets seasonal"

The small field farm Landsberg will kick off the cooking series "about taste can be argued" for families. The solidarity gardening near Halle will briefly introduce itself and its work and bring a dish that was planted and harvested under regional and seasonal conditions.

On this Cooking Friday, the question "Why shouldn't we buy strawberries in the fall or winter?" will drive us. Where does our food actually come from? How does organic farming make a difference?"
