The Krokoseum team invites guests and professionals such as writers, artists or craftsmen to help shape the cultural, museum, art and media programmes on offer. The cultural “free table” for children is part of the tradition founded by Francke and connects several issues: dissemination of knowledge and experience in the field of healthy nutrition, decorating the table and trying out recipes. Here aspects such as community, acceptance and conveying a culture of eating are placed at the centre of attention.

Children celebrating their birthday and their guests aged between 6 and 12 await a very special experience in the Krokoseum of the Historic Orphanage. Around the themes “Ghosts, fairy tales, pirates and knights” many exciting things can be discovered. After a brief introduction to the history of the house, a treasure hunt takes place. Next the children are feasted to a festively decorated coffee table before heading for the artist’s workshop to build, tinker and construct. Small games conclude the birthday party.
The fee is 60 euros (for up to 10 children and 3 adults). The catering is the responsibility of the parents.
