Promoting Art and Culture

The German Federal Cultural Foundation (Kulturstiftung des Bundes) and the Francke Foundations have been good neighbours for more than ten years. Founded in the Freylinghausen Hall of the Francke Foundations in March 2002, the German Federal Cultural Foundation has since made a name for itself far beyond Germany as one of Europe’s largest publicly funded cultural foundations. In compliance with its statutes, the goal of the Foundation is to "promote art and culture within the boundaries of federal competence." The Foundation focusses particularly on the support of innovative programmes and projects in an international context.
